1ère édition de la Fête de l’ABC à Rémire-Montjoly
L’Atlas de la Biodiversité Communale de Rémire-Montjoly organise du 20 au 27 février la 1ère édition de la Fête de l’ABC. Pendant les vacances de Carnaval, de nombreuses animations sont organisées à destination des habitants de la commune pour en apprendre davantage sur la nature qui nous entoure.
Lancé en 2021, à l’initiative de la municipalité de Rémire-Montjoly et du GEPOG, l’Atlas de la Biodiversité Communale (ABC) a pour objectif d’inventorier la faune et la flore grâce à la mobilisation des scientifiques et des habitants pour les deux prochaines années.

« L’ABC de Rémire-Montjoly est un atout pour la municipalité et ses habitants pour mettre en lumière les acteurs du territoire qui œuvrent pour la préservation de la biodiversité guyanaise » M.Victor JOSEPH, 9ème Adjoint délégué à la stratégie de développement durable, du suivi de la protection des espaces naturels et boisés, du suivi de l’amélioration du cadre de vie et des actions concernant le littoral.
La 1ère édition de la Fête de l’ABC propose de découvrir par des sorties nature avec des spécialistes sur différents sites de la commune, les animaux que nous côtoyons dans nos jardins.
Papillons, oiseaux, fourmis et autres insectes seront donc mis à l’honneur et à observer lors de cette semaine.
L’objectif sera ensuite de constituer un réseau d’observateurs sur la commune, qui pourront nous transmettre leurs observations de la faune et de la flore de leur jardin.
En parallèle, les habitants sont incités à faire remonter leurs témoignages et souvenirs sur les arbres remarquables de la commune en participant au concours photographique pour élire l’arbre de la commune.
A destination des plus jeunes, un cahier d’activités est mis à disposition sur le Facebook de la mairie de Rémire-Montjoly pour découvrir tout en s’amusant la biodiversité de proximité.
Un programme bien rempli pour cette 1ère édition soutenue financièrement par l’Office Français de la Biodiversité et l’Office de l’Eau de Guyane Française!

The Communal Biodiversity Atlas of Rémire-Montjoly is organizing the 1st edition of the ABC Festival from February 20 to 27. During the Carnival holidays, many activities are organized for the inhabitants of the town to learn more about the nature that surrounds us.
Launched in 2021, on the initiative of the municipality of Rémire-Montjoly and GEPOG, the Atlas of Communal Biodiversity (ABC) aims to inventory the fauna and flora thanks to the mobilization of scientists and inhabitants to the next two years.

The 1st edition of the Fête de l'ABC proposes to discover through nature outings with specialists on different sites in the town, the animals that we meet in our gardens.
Butterflies, birds, ants and other insects will therefore be honored and observed during this week.
The objective will then be to set up a network of observers in the municipality, who will be able to send us their observations of the fauna and flora of their garden.
At the same time, the inhabitants are encouraged to share their testimonies and memories of the remarkable trees of the municipality by participating in the photographic competition to elect the tree of the municipality.
For the youngest, an activity book is available on the Facebook of the town hall of Rémire-Montjoly to discover local biodiversity while having fun.
A busy program for this 1st edition financially supported by the French Office for Biodiversity and the French Guiana Water Office!
