Yvelien, femme du plateau des Guyanes est hospitalisée dans un service psychiatrique.

Son « délire », la projette du fond de sa chambre, tour à tour, au cœur de l’épopée mandingue dans la savane africaine, puis au creux du « passage du milieu » entourée des odeurs répugnantes des corps, du bruit irritant des chaînes, enfin dans l’enfer des vergers aux fruits étranges.

Elle se débat, hurle, gueule, rugit... et son rugissement la conduit au seuil du renouvellement et de la résurrection, au travers de sa réincarnation reconnue de tous du roi mandingue Sukundjata Sidibe.

Et elle retrouvera enfin sa terre natale intérieure.

Yvelien, a woman from the Guiana plateau, is hospitalized in a psychiatric ward.

Her "delirium" projects her from the back of her room, in turn, into the heart of the Mandingo epic in the African savannah, then into the hollow of the "middle passage" surrounded by the disgusting odors of bodies, the irritating noise of chains , finally in the hell of orchards with strange fruits.

She struggles, howls, yells, roars ... and her roar leads her to the threshold of renewal and resurrection, through her universally recognized reincarnation of the Mandinka king Sukundjata Sidibe.

And she will finally find her inner native land.
