Des étoiles dans les branches est tout d'abord un texte original qui a été écrit spécialement pour ce projet. Ce spectacle est une histoire du bagne en Guyane à travers le regard de trois personnages, deux hommes et une femme. C’est une sorte de roman d’aventures où les éléments de contexte sont tous historiquement vrais. C’est à la fois un spectacle à destination pédagogique qui est proposé aux scolaires, dans une version adaptée, et aux tous publics. Des étoiles dans les branches met très largement en scène la ville de Saint-Laurent, ville qui a été créée à l’origine pour accueillir les bagnards arrivés de métropole.  C’est aussi un hommage à la Guyane ou nous venons régulièrement…Mario Batista.

Stars in the Branches is first of all an original text that was written especially for this project. This show is a story of the penal colony in French Guiana through the eyes of three characters, two men and a woman. It's kind of an adventure novel where the contextual elements are all historically true. It is both an educational show that is offered to schools, in an adapted version, and to all audiences. Des étoiles dans les branches largely features the city of Saint-Laurent, a city that was originally created to accommodate convicts arriving from metropolitan France. It’s also a tribute to French Guiana where we come regularly… Mario Batista.
