Près de 2 tonnes d’aide alimentaire d’urgence pour Maripasoula

Jeudi 30 avril, 1,8 tonnes d’aide alimentaire d’urgence et une dizaine de colis de livres ont été acheminés à Maripasoula par un avion militaire des Forces Armées en Guyane dans le cadre de la coordination de l’aide alimentaire dans l’Ouest guyanais mise en place par la Sous-préfecture de Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni.

L’aide alimentaire et les livres ont été remis à la ville de Maripasoula et à son centre communal d’action sociale.

Elle sera distribuée par le Centre Communal d ́Action Sociale (C.C.A.S.), avec l’aide du Parc Amazonien de Guyane et de la Protection maternelle et infantile (PMI) de Maripasoula, à une centaine de familles du bourg et des écarts de la commune. Les colis d’aide alimentaire proviennent de la plateforme alimentaire gérée par la Croix-Rouge et co-financée par l’État, la Collectivité Territoriale de Guyane et la Caisse d'Allocations Familiales (CAF) .

Les livres (dictionnaires, livres jeunesse, revues pédagogiques, romans...) ont été offerts par l’association Ne Plus Jeter et seront répartis dans les écoles et bibliothèques, notamment du Haut-Maroni, pour assurer une continuité pédagogique.

Le Préfet Marc DEL GRANDE souligne l’effort collectif et remercie tous les services de l’État, la collectivité territoriale et l’ensemble des partenaires qui ont rendu possible cette opération.

Thursday, April 30, 1.8 tonnes of emergency food aid and a dozen parcels of books were brought to Maripasoula by a military aircraft of the Armed Forces in French Guiana as part of the coordination of food aid in the 'West French Guiana set up by the Sub-prefecture of Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni.

Food aid and books were donated to the city of Maripasoula and its community center for social work.

It will be distributed by the Center Communal d'Action Sociale (CCAS), with the help of the Amazonian Park of French Guiana and the Maternal and Child Protection (PMI) of Maripasoula, to a hundred families in the town and the deviations of the town . Food aid packages come from the food platform managed by the Red Cross and co-financed by the State, the Territorial authority of French Guiana and the Family Allowance Fund (CAF).

The books (dictionaries, children's books, educational journals, novels ...) were donated by the association Ne Plus Jeter and will be distributed in schools and libraries, notably in Haut-Maroni, to ensure educational continuity.

The Prefect Marc DEL GRANDE underlines the collective effort and thanks all the services of the State, the local authority and all the partners who made this operation possible.
