Sandra TROCHIMARA réagit à la disparition d'Yvan ROLLUS

Un « poto mitan » de la culture guyanaise, Yvan ROLLUS s’en est allé en ce 1^e février, nous confiant un héritage exceptionnel de près de 250 œuvres, une emprunte unique aux multiples facettes qui a offert à de nombreux artistes de artistes qui resterons gravés dans les pages de notre patrimoine.

Dans l’un des magazines « Une saison en Guyane », Monsieur Yvan ROLLUS a dit : « Mon rêve est qu’un jour quelque chose de génial, planétaire, que le monde entier ait un rythme nouveau, un style nouveau qui soit né ici. », c’est sans nu : doute ce rêve qui était au cœur de son talent.

En ces moments particulièrement douloureux pour sa famille, ses proches et tous ses compagnons de route artistique, je tiens à exprimer, au nom de com Conseil municipal, le témoignage de nos sincères et profondes condoléances portées par la mélodie de la chanson « Mangé Cayenne » qui avait écrite pour Tutus.

La plume, l’inspiration et le style mélodique d’un poète sensible se sont envolés et nous nous laisserons encore très longtemps bercés par ses chansons où la thématique de l’amour était omniprésente.

Il nous revient de poursuivre la valorisation de cet héritage qui marquera sans commune mesure le dédalles de notre identité culturelle.

A “poto mitan” of Guyanese culture, Yvan ROLLUS left on February 1st, entrusting us with an exceptional heritage of nearly 250 works, a unique multi-faceted borrowing that has offered many artists artists who will remain engraved in the pages of our heritage.

In one of the magazines "A Season in French Guiana", Mr. Yvan ROLLUS said: " My dream is that one day something great, planetary, that the whole world will have a new rhythm, a new style that was born here. . ", It is undoubtedly this dream that was at the heart of his talent.

In these particularly painful moments for his family, loved ones and all his artistic companions, I would like to express, on behalf of the Municipal Council, the testimony of our sincere and deep condolences carried by the melody of the song "Mangé Cayenne" who had written for Tutus.

The pen, the inspiration and the melodic style of a sensitive poet are gone and we will be lulled for a very long time by his songs where the theme of love was omnipresent.

It is up to us to continue to promote this heritage which will mark the maze of our cultural identity beyond measure.
