18ème Printemps des Poétes des Afriques et d'Ailleurs

Le 18e Printemps des Poètes des Afriques et d’Ailleurs dirigé par Thierry Sinda et animé par Moa Abaïd aura pour thème «Des désirs, des Afriques».

Une trentaine de poètes, et artistes originaires principalement de la Caraïbe, de l’Afrique et de l’Océan indien se produiront dans le respect strict du protocole sanitaire.

Le festival est placé sous le Centenaire du poète, romancier et chroniqueur historique Guyanais René Maran, Prix Goncourt 1921 pour son roman Batouala.

Thierry Sinda nous confie : « notre commémoration sera au plus près du flux et des mannes de René Maran et de Félix Eboué ». En effet, les festivaliers diront de la poésie sur la tombe de René Maran (sise au Cimetière du Montparnasse-Paris 14e) ; ils se produiront à la Société des Poètes français à laquelle René Maran adhère en 1912, et passeront par l’Hôtel Stella où les étudiants René Maran et Félix Eboué partageaient une chambre.

La 18è édition, fort riche, est parrainée par Martial Sinda, premier poète de l’Afrique Équatoriale française (région chère à l’auteur de Batouala qui y situe son intrique), professeur honoraire à La Sorbonne-Nouvelle, jeune compagnon de lutte de René Maran, et président de l’Association des amis de René Maran.

Un rendez vous que les Bladas Parisiens ne doivent pas manquer , du 19 au 23 mars à Paris.

The 18th Spring of Poets from Africa and Elsewhere directed by Thierry Sinda and moderated by Moa Abaïd will have as its theme "Desires, Africa".

About thirty poets and artists mainly from the Caribbean, Africa and the Indian Ocean will perform in strict compliance with health protocol.

The festival is placed under the Centenary of the Guyanese poet, novelist and historical chronicler René Maran, Prix Goncourt 1921 for his novel Batouala.

Thierry Sinda tells us: "our commemoration will be as close as possible to the flow and the manna of René Maran and Félix Eboué". Indeed, festival-goers will say poetry on the grave of René Maran (located in the Montparnasse-Paris 14th cemetery); they will perform at the Society of French Poets to which René Maran joined in 1912, and will pass through the Hotel Stella where the students René Maran and Félix Eboué shared a room.

The 18th edition, very rich, is sponsored by Martial Sinda, first poet of French Equatorial Africa (a region dear to the author of Batouala who places his intrique there), honorary professor at La Sorbonne-Nouvelle, young fellow in the struggle of René Maran, and president of the Association of Friends of René Maran.

An appointment that the Parisian Bladas should not miss, from March 19 to 23 in Paris.
