Libération des bâtiments de la Cité judiciaire de Cayenne

La Cité judiciaire de Cayenne, prévue par les Accords de Guyane de 2017, accueillera toutes les juridictions de première instance de Cayenne, les archives judiciaires et le tribunal administratif de Guyane. Il s’agit d’une opération immobilière d’envergure, nécessaire pour faire face à l’accroissement de l’activité juridictionnelle liée au développement du territoire guyanais, ainsi que pour l’amélioration conditions de travail et d’accueil des justiciables.

Avant la mise en service de la Cité judiciaire en 2026, un calendrier d’opérations a été défini. Cette année, la libération des bâtiments existants est nécessaire, afin de pouvoir désamianter, démolir, puis réaliser l’ensemble des diagnostics permettant la construction de la cité.

C’est pourquoi une procédure d’expulsion du site a été engagée, sur ordonnance du tribunal administratif de Guyane. L’ensemble des procédures légales préalables à cette opération ont été réalisées, les occupants sont informés depuis plus d’un an de leur départ. 125 personnes au total (52 adultes et 23 mineurs) devront quitter les lieux, le 25 août 2021.

The Judicial City of Cayenne, provided for by the 2017 French Guiana Accords, will host all the courts of first instance of Cayenne, the judicial archives and the administrative tribunal of French Guiana. This is a large-scale real estate transaction, necessary to cope with the increase in judicial activity linked to the development of the Guianese territory, as well as to improve working conditions and the reception of litigants.

Before the commissioning of the Judicial City in 2026, a schedule of operations was defined. This year, the liberation of the existing buildings is necessary, in order to be able to remove asbestos, demolish, and then carry out all the diagnostics allowing the construction of the city.

This is why an eviction procedure from the site was initiated, by order of the administrative court of French Guiana. All the legal procedures prior to this operation have been completed, the occupants have been informed for more than a year of their departure. A total of 125 people (52 adults and 23 minors) will have to vacate the premises on August 25, 2021.
