L’arrivée du Janssen aide certaines personnes à franchir le pas de la vaccination

Quelques Guyanais ont poussé la porte du centre de vaccination de l’Encre, hier matin, décidé à recevoir leur dose suite à l’arrivée du vaccin Janssen. Le pharmacien Fabien Sublet, pour sa part, constate que ce nouveau produit disponible en Guyane aide certaines personnes à renouer la discussion sur la vaccination, quitte à demander ensuite à recevoir le vaccin Comirnaty.

Il s’appelle Georges, Macourien de 62 ans. Et hier matin, bien que s’étant présenté à 9h30 au centre de vaccination de l’Encre, il a été coiffé de peu sur le poteau pour être le premier vacciné Janssen en Guyane. « Il fallait le faire. J’attendais d’avoir le Janssen ; je n’avais pas confiance dans le Pfizer. L’ARN, je ne sais pas ce que c’est. »

Comme Georges, ils sont une poignée à avoir profité de l’arrivée de ce nouveau vaccin pour franchir la porte de l’Encre, hier à Cayenne, soit sur rendez-vous, soit sans rendez-vous. A compter d’aujourd’hui, ils pourront le recevoir auprès d’un professionnel de santé libéral : médecin, pharmacien, infirmier, sage-femme, chirurgien-dentiste.

Eric lui aussi guettait l’arrivée du Janssen en Guyane : « Je dois prendre l’avion fin novembre », explique-t-il. Citant volontiers Didier Raoult, Luc Montanier et d’autres praticiens promouvant des traitements n’ayant pas démontré d’efficacité contre le Covid-19, il avoue s’être lui aussi « posé des questions ». L’arrivée du Janssen l’a convaincu. L’échange hier matin à l’Encre avec le responsable du centre Guillaume Icher et avec Clara de Bort, directrice générale de l’ARS, aussi : « Au bout du compte, ce n’est pas à la télé qu’il faut parler aux gens. C’est mieux quand on les a en face de soi. »

« J’attendais, admet-t-il. L’obligation vaccinale des soignants, la gestion de la crise... Je suis comme tout le monde : méfiant. Mais j’ai des rendez-vous professionnels hors de Guyane. Je ne peux plus me permettre de faire comme en août, d’y aller en faisant un test PCR au départ, un à l’arrivée, puis un autre au bout de dix jours, d’imposer la prise en charge d’une septaine d’isolement dans mes contrats. L’arrivée du Janssen m’a décidé, parce que c’est un vaccin traditionnel. Le fonctionnement même du vaccin me convient un peu mieux. »

Fabien Sublet, pharmacien à Matoury, constate, pour sa part que l’arrivée du Janssen permet à certaines personnes de renouer la discussion sur le sujet de la vaccination. Lundi soir, au cours d’un échange avec l’ARS, il témoignait que sept personnes l’avaient sollicité dans la journée au sujet de ce nouveau vaccin. Trois ont pris rendez-vous pour le jour où il recevra ses premières boîtes. Les quatre autres… ont finalement demandé à recevoir le Pfizer tout de suite. Comme conclut Georges, le vacciné matinal de l’Encre : « Chacun doit pouvoir faire selon son libre arbitre, doit pouvoir faire ce qu’il veut. »

Les libéraux peuvent commander le vaccin en pharmacie

Les médecins, infirmiers, sages-femmes et chirurgiens-dentistes libéraux ont désormais la possibilité de commander des flacons du vaccin Janssen auprès de toutes les pharmacies de Guyane. Les premières ont été fournies hier par le grossiste-répartiteur Ubipharm. Deux pharmacies – Ibis à Matoury et Awaras à Macouria – ont prévu d’ouvrir un créneau de cinq rendez-vous dès cette semaine.

Liberals can order the vaccine from pharmacies

Doctors, nurses, midwives and liberal dentists can now order vials of the Janssen vaccine from all pharmacies in French Guiana.
