Rencontre avec les acteurs du Carnaval de Guyane

Le préfet de la région Guyane, Thierry QUEFFELEC, recevra mardi 9 novembre les acteurs de l’événementiel et du carnaval, afin d’échanger sur les perspectives, points d’attention et modalités de la tenue ou non de l’édition 2022 du Carnaval de Guyane.

En effet, en raison de la situation épidémiologique qui impose la plus grande vigilance, les prochains événements de grande envergure, s’ils peuvent avoir lieu, devront être adaptés, afin que soient conciliés divertissement et protection de la population.

Ainsi, la réunion du mardi 9 novembre permettra aux organisations d’exposer leur vision du carnaval 2022, et d’émettre des propositions tenant compte de la situation sanitaire et des mesures préventives nécessaires. Le Préfet et les services de l’État en Guyane se tiendront à l’écoute des besoins, suggestions et difficultés de chacun.

Les perspectives de maintien ou non de l’édition 2022 du carnaval restent soumises à l’évolution de la Covid-19 sur le territoire. L’écoute mutuelle, l’ouverture et le travail collaboratif entre l’État et les acteurs de l’événementiel, sont essentiels pour faire perdurer les traditions, tout en respectant la santé de chaque guyanaise et guyanais.

The prefect of the French Guiana region, Thierry QUEFFELEC, will receive on Tuesday, November 9 the actors of the events and carnival, in order to discuss the perspectives, points of attention and modalities of the holding or not of the 2022 edition of the French Guiana Carnival.

Indeed, due to the epidemiological situation which requires the greatest vigilance, the next large-scale events, if they can occur, will have to be adapted, in order to reconcile entertainment and protection of the population.

Thus, the meeting on Tuesday, November 9 will allow organizations to present their vision for Carnival 2022, and make proposals taking into account the health situation and the necessary preventive measures. The Prefect and the State services in French Guiana will listen to everyone's needs, suggestions and difficulties.

The prospects for maintaining or not the 2022 edition of the carnival remain subject to the evolution of Covid-19 in the territory. Listening to each other, openness and collaborative work between the State and the actors of the events, are essential to perpetuate the traditions, while respecting the health of each Guianese.
