Inondations : État de catastrophe naturelle reconnu pour 14 communes

Afin de traiter rapidement les conséquences des fortes précipitations et inondations qui ont touché la Guyane au cours du mois de mars 2022, une commission interministérielle catastrophe naturelle s'est tenue en procédure accélérée le 31 mars, à la demande du gouvernement.

Les dossiers de 14 communes touchées, centralisés par les services de l’État en Guyane puis transmis à la Direction générale de la sécurité civile et de la gestion des crises, ont ainsi été examinées et fait l'objet d'un avis favorable au vu de l’expertise météorologique (Météo France) et de l'expertise hydrologique (Direction générale des territoires et de la mer).

Un arrêté interministériel portant reconnaissance de l’état de catastrophe naturelle est ainsi paru au Journal Officiel ce jour. Il permet aux particuliers et aux entreprises de demander à leur assurance l'application de la garantie catastrophe naturelle, consécutive à un phénomène naturel intense.

In order to quickly deal with the consequences of the heavy rains and floods that affected French Guiana during the month of March 2022, an interministerial natural disaster commission was held under an accelerated procedure on March 31, at the request of the government.

The files of 14 affected municipalities, centralized by the State services in French Guiana then transmitted to the General Directorate of Civil Security and Crisis Management, were thus examined and were the subject of a favorable opinion to the seen from meteorological expertise (Météo France) and hydrological expertise (Directorate General for Territories and the Sea).

An interministerial decree recognizing the state of natural disaster was thus published in the Official Journal today. It allows individuals and companies to ask their insurance for the application of natural disaster cover, following an intense natural phenomenon.
