L'Office de Tourisme de l'Ouest Guyanais lance ses premiers séjours photo

L'Office de Tourisme de l'Ouest Guyanais (OTOG) développe une nouvelle offre pour cet été : deux séjours photo de 6 jours / 5 nuits à Saül et Maripa-Soula. L'OTOG ambitionne de faire découvrir la biodiversité locale à travers l'activité photo.

Une structure récente en plein développement

Créé en 2020, l’OTOG est un Etablissement Public Industriel et Commercial (EPIC), chargé de la promotion touristique sur le territoire de la Communauté de Communes de l’Ouest Guyanais (CCOG). Immatriculé depuis 2021 au registre des opérateurs de voyages et de séjours par ATOUT France, l'OTOG se lance dans la création de nouveaux séjours pour cet été.

Deux séjours basés sur la photo naturaliste

A partir de Juillet, l'OTOG vous propose deux séjours photo inédits "Focus sur Saül" et "Zoom sur Tampok". Les communes de Saül et de Maripa-Soula ont été retenues, toutes deux au cœur de l'Amazonie guyanaise. L'objectif est double : appréhender la richesse de la faune et de la flore du territoire et s'initier ou se perfectionner à la photo naturaliste.

Des photographes professionnels sélectionnés par l'agence 97px

Pour accompagner les séjours, l'OTOG a choisi l'agence locale de photo 97px, vivier de photographes naturalistes. De part leurs expériences de terrain, les photographes partageront leurs connaissances théoriques et pratiques, lors de conférences et de modules.

Amateur de photo et aventurier

Ces séjours s'adressent aux passionnés de photo de tous niveaux désireux d'apprendre de nouvelles techniques, ainsi qu'aux aventuriers et amoureux de la nature. Durant les séjours, les groupes évolueront en pleine forêt ou sur le fleuve, ce qui nécessite une certaine condition physique.

Un projet écotouristique lauréat de Biodiv’éco en Outre-Mer

Les séjours s'inscrivent dans le cadre du projet Biodiv’éco lancé par l’Office Français de la Biodiversité en 2021. Au-delà des séjours photos, le projet intègre un volet formation (deux formations réalisées "connaissances environnementales" dispensées aux agents de l’OTOG en novembre 2021 et mars 2022) et une exposition photo des clichés réalisés pendant les séjours.

Désireux de respecter les valeurs écotouristiques, les séjours sont limités à 5 participants, afin d'être au plus proche de la nature et de pouvoir être accompagné individuellement.

The West Guianese Tourist Office (OTOG) is developing a new offer for this summer: two photo stays of 6 days / 5 nights in Saül and Maripa-Soula. The OTOG aims to discover local biodiversity through photo activity.

A recent structure in full development

Created in 2020, OTOG is a Public Industrial and Commercial Establishment (EPIC), responsible for promoting tourism in the territory of the Community of Communes of West French Guiana (CCOG). Registered since 2021 in the register of travel and stay operators by ATOUT France, OTOG is embarking on the creation of new stays for this summer.

Two stays based on naturalist photography

From July, the OTOG offers you two unique photo stays "Focus on Saul" and "Zoom on Tampok". The municipalities of Saül and Maripa-Soula were selected, both in the heart of the Guianese Amazon. The objective is twofold: to apprehend the richness of the fauna and flora of the territory and to learn or improve in naturalist photography.

Professional photographers selected by the 97px agency

To accompany the stays, the OTOG has chosen the local photo agency 97px, a breeding ground for naturalist photographers. From their experiences in the field, the photographers will share their theoretical and practical knowledge, during conferences and modules.

Photo lover and adventurer

These stays are aimed at photography enthusiasts of all levels wishing to learn new techniques, as well as adventurers and nature lovers. During the stays, the groups will evolve in the middle of the forest or on the river, which requires a certain physical condition.

An ecotourism project winner of Biodiv'éco in Overseas France

The stays are part of the Biodiv'éco project launched by the French Office for Biodiversity in 2021. Beyond the photo stays, the project includes a training component (two training courses carried out "environmental knowledge" given to the agents of OTOG in November 2021 and March 2022) and a photo exhibition of photos taken during the stays.

Wishing to respect ecotourism values, stays are limited to 5 participants, in order to be closer to nature and to be able to be accompanied individually.
