Renouvellement urbain du quartier d’intérêt national Cogneau Est à Matoury

L’Agence nationale pour la rénovation urbaine (ANRU) est engagée aux côtés de la ville de Matoury depuis 2009. La commune a bénéficié d’un premier programme de rénovation urbaine pour le quartier de Copaya, d’un coût total de 92 millions d’euros, dont une participation ANRU de 19 millions d’euros. Ce programme, dont la dernière opération sera bientôt soldée, s’est avéré être une véritable réussite.

Le 14 décembre 2022, la commune de Matoury a présenté au comité d’engagement de l’ANRU son projet de requalification et de désenclavement des secteurs KOUMOU et KOMBO, dans le cadre du Nouveau Programme National de Rénovation Urbaine.
Les principaux axes du projet sont :
– la création de voiries pour désenclaver et requalifier le quartier,
– la réalisation de travaux de recyclage d’habitats dégradés,
– la régularisation des habitants,
– la création d’équipements publics, comme un groupe scolaire de 16 classes.
Ce plan s’articule avec d’autres projets structurants pour le développement du territoire : la création de la route du centre, l’arrivée du TCSP et le développement du secteur Terca.
Il représente un investissement global de 138 millions d’euros, pour lequel le comité d’engagement de l’ANRU a validé une enveloppe financière de 20 millions d’euros de subvention.


The National Agency for Urban Renewal (ANRU) has been working alongside the town of Matoury since 2009. The municipality benefited from a first urban renewal program for the Copaya district, at a total cost of 92 million euros, including an ANRU contribution of 19 million euros. This program, the last operation of which will soon be completed, has proven to be a real success.

On December 14, 2022, the municipality of Matoury presented to the ANRU commitment committee its project to requalify and open up the KOUMOU and KOMBO sectors, as part of the New National Program for Urban Renovation.
The main axes of the project are:
– the creation of roads to open up and requalify the district,
– carrying out work to recycle degraded habitats,
– the regularization of the inhabitants,
– the creation of public facilities, such as a school group of 16 classes.
This plan is articulated with other structuring projects for the development of the territory: the creation of the central road, the arrival of the TCSP and the development of the Terca sector.
It represents an overall investment of 138 million euros, for which the ANRU's commitment committee has validated a financial envelope of 20 million euros in subsidy.
