Maintenance câble sous-marin Americas-II

Du 7 au 11 novembre inclus, une opération de maintenance sera opérée sur le câble Americas-II par le gestionnaire de ce câble sous-marin qui relie les USA (Floride) au Brésil (Fortaleza) en passant, entre autres, par la Martinique (Le Lamentin) et la Guyane française (Cayenne).
Ce câble sous-marin assure donc une importante partie du trafic Internet des opérateurs situés aux Antilles Guyane.
Ces travaux, indispensables pour sécuriser la capacité Internet des départements d’Outre-Mer et répondre à la demande croissante de débit, pourraient ralentir la navigation web des clients fixe et mobile pendant la durée de l’intervention. Les appels voix et SMS ne seront pas impactés.

Un suivi est mis en place sur le site internet www.sfrcaraibe.fr , rubrique assistance, pour un état de l’avancée des travaux.

From November 7 to 11 inclusive, a maintenance operation will be carried out on the Americas-II cable by the manager of this submarine cable which connects the USA (Florida) to Brazil (Fortaleza) passing, among others, through Martinique (Le Lamentin) and French Guiana (Cayenne).
This submarine cable therefore ensures a significant part of the Internet traffic of operators located in the Antilles, Guyana.
This work, essential to secure the Internet capacity of the overseas departments and meet the growing demand for speed, could slow down the web browsing of fixed and mobile customers for the duration of the intervention. Voice calls and SMS will not be impacted.
