Démolition d’une construction illégale à Macouria

Lundi 26 février, à Macouria, sous l’autorité du préfet de la Guyane et en étroite collaboration avec les services municipaux, les services de l’État en Guyane ont procédé à la destruction d’une construction illégale au PK 16 de la RN1, au lieu-dit Sablance.

Cette construction a été édifiée sans les autorisations requises, sur un terrain propriété de l’État. Malgré une injonction d'arrêt des travaux notifiée par la mairie, les responsables de cette construction ont persisté dans l’édification de six grands logements de type T3, encore inoccupés.

Constatant la poursuite des travaux et en application à la loi Elan de 2018, l’État est habilité à prendre les mesures de démolition qui s’imposent si le responsable de la construction ne procède pas lui-même à la démolition du bâti.
Prévenir et lutter contre les constructions illégales demeure une priorité de l’État.

Monday February 26, in Macouria, under the authority of the prefect of Guyana and in close collaboration with the municipal services, the State services in Guyana carried out the destruction of an illegal construction at PK 16 of the RN1, at a place called Sablance.

This construction was built without the required authorizations, on land owned by the State. Despite an injunction to stop the work notified by the town hall, those responsible for this construction persisted in building six large T3 type housing units, which are still unoccupied.

Noting the continuation of the work and in application of the Elan law of 2018, the State is authorized to take the necessary demolition measures if the construction manager does not proceed not himself during the demolition of the building.
Preventing and combating illegal construction remains a priority for the State.
